In the second installment of the Circle Trilogy, the Circle of Six embarks on a bold offensive mission, resulting in a mix of outcomes. Following the sorcerer Hoyt and witch Glenna’s interrupted handfasting ceremony in the previous book, the group faces challenges involving battles and rescues. Blair, a seasoned demon hunter, reflects on her past and struggles with feelings of loneliness despite finding companionship within the Circle, particularly with the charming Larkin. While the romance between Larkin and Blair unfolds at a slow pace amidst escalating battles and shifting landscapes, the depth of their feelings seems unevenly portrayed, with more emphasis on Larkin’s affection than Blair’s emotional development. Despite this, the book offers thrilling action and must be read in one sitting to fully immerse in the story.

While not quite as outstanding as the initial book in the trilogy, this installment is still fantastic! Although the story had a few slow moments and the romance between the main characters didn’t reach the same intensity as that of Hoyt and Glenna, it remains another captivating success filled with wonder! The blend of fantasy and reality is once again heavenly. A trilogy that is a definite must-read!

I really loved reading this book. It combines fantasy and romance in a perfect way. Blair is a refreshing take on a romance novel heroine, and all the main characters bring something special to the story with their unique personalities. Overall, this trilogy is fantastic!

This series served as my introduction to Nora Roberts. I must confess that I had never considered reading her books before, dismissing them as mere trashy romance novels. However, I soon realized that I had unfairly judged her work. This fantasy series turned out to be engaging, with the romance elements being enjoyable without being too excessive. I am now eager to explore more fantasy novels by Ms. Roberts.

I ordered a hardback book but received a paperback instead. This may not seem like a big issue, but it became problematic for me due to the small print in the paperback. I spent over $70 on books, hoping for a certain format, only to receive something different. Thank you for your understanding.

I purchased the hardback version but was sent the softback instead.

  7. Sheree Rhodes

I purchased Nora Roberts’ book “Dance of the Gods” in hard copy but was disappointed to receive the mass paperback version instead. This is the first time I have received a version I did not order, and it is the only version I have not ordered before due to the small print. I have been a satisfied customer of Thriftbooks for many years, but this experience was a letdown. I have not read the book yet since I received it today, but I have always enjoyed the books I have ordered from Thriftbooks in the past.
